He just told me today that he’s been addicted to them for a while and I really want him to quit. Has anyone here had success with getting someone to stop smoking before? Thanks.

it’s not easy, it took my boyfriend 4 months to finally quit but when he drinks or gets really upset he still has one. I think you should just tell him how much you care about him and really wish he would quit. But just keep in mind…it will not be easy for him.

  4. Electronic cigarettes make a great gift and are also a worthwhile transition if he wants to stop smoking completely. They can be had with any level of nicotine. The huge difference over regular cigarettes is that you’re not ingesting all of the poisons associated with tobacco cigarettes. He can still enjoy the look, the feel, and even the nicotine kick of regular cigarettes without all of the hazards. Better still, no smoke, no fire – just water flavor and all kinds of flavors, too.

It’s not that expensive to try, either. Several popular brands offer disposables to try or you can go with a full fledged starter kit with everything you need.
