Stop Smoking

Life’s Simple 7 focuses on the seven steps you can take to make a difference in your health: control cholesterol, manage blood pressure, reduce blood sugar, stop smoking, lose weight, get active and eat better. Visit www.heart.org/MyLifeCheck for more information. Smoking is the most important preventable cause of premature death in the United States. Smokers have a higher risk of developing many chronic disorders, including atherosclerosis — the buildup of fatty substances in the arteries — which can lead to coronary heart disease, heart attack (myocardial infarction) and stroke. Controlling or reversing atherosclerosis is an important part of preventing future heart attack or stroke.

@kronz4200 Weed is not even close to as dangerous as tobacco. In fact, it is not dangerous unless you smoke on a daily basis for years. Actually, it is not even dangerous if you smoke on a daily basis for years. Happy toking and researching!

  16. acdc913 says:

@jackforlong Weed is actually not even remotely carcinogenic, several of it’s chemicals destroy cancer cells. Pot smoke is definitely not noticeably bad for you.

  17. PhobiaGuy says:

@breedome Is that the sum total of joy in your life? Ever looked at a ciggy and thought, ‘is this all there is to life? only getting joy from burning stuff and sucking? where do you see this ending up? I’m so sorry to hear you have come to this at just 14! hope you find what you’re looking for!

    Πάρτα μούφα!

  21. kronz4200 says:

@jackforlong It’s not that it has more carcinogens, its that marijuana is hit harder and held in longer compared to a cigarette. which makes it jus as dangerous

  22. @NationalistProd HELL YEAH FOR ANOTHER FOUR MONTHS!

  23. ernhamDjinn says:

@s5sprite not to wish anybody ill, but no one says every single person who smokes will get sick. It just multiplies the probability of cancer and other disease by a large factor. A lot of people who smoke live without any smoking-related sickness, but if you smoke you inhale cancerous gases that may or may not get you. Besides if you smoke once pack per week it’s probably not as bad as 3 packs per day which my dad used to smoke. Glad he quit.

  24. breedome says:

I am 14 and when I have change from my weed money… I buy a ton of Hand Rolled Cigarettes for $4 a pack… Its fuckin awesome
